The Designers – Handmade Ceramic Collections

Discover the creative minds behind our exclusive ceramic collections. At A Loja da Cerâmica, we collaborate with talented designers who reinterpret traditional craftsmanship through a contemporary lens, creating timeless pieces rooted in Mediterranean culture and Portuguese heritage.

Gabrielle de Saint Venant – Between Tradition and Modernity

Gabrielle de Saint Venant is a multidisciplinary artist and traveler living between Portugal, India, and France. Originally a photographer, she discovered Portugal by chance and quickly fell in love with its culture, eventually settling in Lisbon.

For over a decade, Gabrielle has worked closely with local Portuguese artisans, especially in the Alentejo region. Fascinated by their ancestral techniques and expressive craftsmanship, she developed a deep connection with these potters and their savoir-faire.

Her work bridges past and present. Inspired by traditional ornamental patterns, Gabrielle reimagines them with a modern aesthetic, bringing freshness and elegance to classic forms.

Her exclusive ceramic collections — Limonada and Fleur Bleue — embody this dialogue between heritage and creativity. These unique pieces are available exclusively at A Loja da Cerâmica, making them truly distinctive additions to any home.

AZUL

AZUL – Mediterranean Spirit in Contemporary Ceramics

AZUL is a creative concept born from the shared passion of three friends for Mediterranean design and craftsmanship. Rooted in a deep love for ceramics, AZUL celebrates artisanal culture through curated collections and immersive retail experiences.

With boutiques in Marseille and Lisbon, AZUL has become a reference for those seeking authentic, handcrafted ceramics infused with warmth and character.

Their signature collection, Mediterranea and Cyclade, reflects the essence of southern landscapes:

  clean and simple lines
  bold, vibrant colors
  a warm and timeless aesthetic

Initially exclusive to their own stores, the success of the Mediterranea collection led to a wider distribution. Today, it is available exclusively through A Loja da Cerâmica.
